Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
Beau Imran Khan ushered Avantika Mallik and her parents to dinner in style. It is known that Imran took them to J W Marriott hotel at Juhu and few of their friends also accompanied them.
Imran and Avantika walked in at around 10 pm. Imran was wearing a shirt over a tee, like he did in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. They were in the hotel for nearly two hours. The whole group was having a monster of a time, talking loudly, and everyone seemed very happy. At times, the topic swerved to Imran’s debut movie Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.
Imran and Avantika met at a social event a few months ago and ever since then have become inseparable. Avantika was earlier involved with Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's son Ranbir. The only peculiarity here was that Imran was looking very insecure at Marriott. Either he is very timid by nature or he became uncomfortable when everyone recognized him and stared at him.
Presently, Imran is shooting for Soham's Shah's Luck. Kamal Hasan and Sarika's daughter, Shruti Hasan is co-starring Imran in Luck movie.

Luck Factor
Some actresses in the past have proved to be lucky for some directors. There was a time when Indra Kumar couldn’t think of making a movie without his lucky good luck charm Madhuri Dixit. The Chopras considered Sridevi to be their lucky amulet.
Ram Gopal Varma believed that Urmila Matondkar was lucky for him. Sanjay Leela Bhansali presented the luck factor on Aishwarya Rai.
And now the latest addition to the above names is Vidya Balan. If Vidya’s career graph is observed closely, out of the six releases that the actress has had till date from Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Eklavya, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Guru five have been super hits.
Now the big question is, will she bring luck to Aziz Mirza in Kismet Konnection as well? Let’s wait and watch.

Aamir gifted a BMW to Imran Khan
It seems that Aamir Khan was so happy with the success of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na that he has gifted nephew Imran Khan a white BMW. This enchants Imran. It looks like uncle Aamir is well aware of his nephew’s enthrallment with cars. Aamir gifted Imran the car during the weekend. Imran, who wasn’t expecting anything like a BMW, was ecstatic. He is now zooming around in his brand new car everywhere. The BMW, which Aamir gifted Imran is amongst the latest models in the market costing close to Rs 50 lakh.
The car was just Aamir's way of showing his appreciation. The gesture was not as a producer of the film but as an uncle. It’s the success of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na that they are celebrating.

It is known that Govinda has sacked a Mani Ratnam film after doing comic roles for a long time. Govinda has been signed for an essential part in the Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer movie that is supposed to hit the theatres by the year-end. Govinda, who’s currently nursing his daughter Narmada after her facial surgery, expressed deep thankfulness for being presented with a second innings as a hero. He had almost vanished from the scene and was pulled back from the melancholy in the nick of time by his friends like Salman Khan and a few others.
Expressing his happiness over being roped in by Ratnam, he said that he is actually doing a film with him! He feels that it is almost every heroes dream to work with Mani Ratnam. It is an interesting and a powerful role. Speaking about the film Govinda said that Mani is making an intense film and Govinda’s role will definitely surprise people. If we remember Govinda has worked with Aishwarya in Albela movie. In fact, he says that he is a big fan of the Bachchans, especially Amitji, with whom he has done Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and now it’s Amitji’s son. That’s a happy occasion for him.
Govinda is currently working with Vashu Bhagnani and David Dhawan in Do Knot Disturb. He has also completed a film with director Jagmohan Mundhra titled Excuse Me, Please.

Mehbooba all set to go on the floors
Afzal Khan is finally ready to release the Sanjay Dutt-Ajay Devgan- Manisha Koirala starrer Mehbooba. A lesser-known fact about the film's delay was its climax, which was shot in Bikaner. The scene, featuring all the three lead heroes and actresses - Sanjay, Ajay and Manisha, involved a moving train being chased by a car. It took over 18 months to can the scene.
Afzal Khan said that for the climax scene, they needed a railway track in the middle of the desert. After looking for the location in Jodhpur, Jaipur and Ajmer, they finally found an ideal spot in Bikaner. He was with his action director Bhiku Verma and my DOP Ashok Mehta who also loved the location. However, the major hitch was that the sand around the track was extremely fine and certainly not fit for walking, let alone a car being driven on it. They also wanted a one-and-a-half kilometer long road for the sequence, so he called art director Nitin Desai to create a pukka road for him at that location. It took about three months for the entire road to be laid out. Then he had to get the combined dates of Sanju, Ajay and Manisha who were all busy. He had to wait for nearly eight months to get their dates.
But, Afzal's torment didn't end there. He added that to his horror, when he went back to shoot at the location the military was carrying out a training program there. When he spoke to them, he learnt that they will be there for at least four weeks and couldn't let him shoot there. He had about 25 days from his heroes but his dates were wasted again. When Afzal finally managed to get everything in place again, he found that there was more problem in store for him. He had trouble bringing an old steam engine, which was on display in Chandigarh for an exhibition. When he went there, he realised that it is just a dummy train and no longer in use. The only way it could move was with the help of three diesel engines, which would help push the train all the way from Chandigarh to Bikaner.
However, the worst was yet to come, as Afzal realised that the train from Chandigarh came from the opposite side of the track in Bikaner and they could not shoot from that end as they had already made the road on the opposite side of the tracks. He had to call for a special crane from Delhi, which could lift the train and put it on the right side of the track. The crane finally came after 20 days while the coal for the dummy train came after about three weeks. Everything went haywire but he knew that he had to stick to the original plans for the film's climax. After watching Mehbooba, people will know that the particular train sequence is very crucial to his climax.

Good Luck Posters Upside Down
We can see Bollywood’s fondness for numerology and astrology here!!! All almost 40-odd hoardings of Karan Ramsay’s film Good Luck starring Aryeman Ramsay, Sayali Bhagat, Lucky Ali and Ranvir Shorey have been put up across the city upside down.
When questioned Karan replied that their astrologer told them that it would work for the film. Their distributor Dilipbhai of Royal Screening also thought it was a novel idea.
In fact, many friends and well-wishers called up to ask if they made a mistake. They are worried that someone may have played dirty with them. It’s nice that their request has been heeded and the whole idea is executed well. The hoardings are put up in Oshiwara, Bandra Reclamation, and Lower Parel and on the Western Express Highway. Now to sit back and wait for Good Luck to strike…
